Oct. 10-12

As you know, I was away for a couple of days finishing off some Catholic professional development.  The following is a summary of what you should have done:

Oct. 10

English

• continued adjectives and adverbs, going over answers (superlative/comparative and adverbs), watching the adverbs video then continuing work in the package
• the homework that should have been assigned: write a short paragraph about yourself with loads of adjectives and adverbs (page 28)

Oct. 11

CE

• journal reflection: Am I my brother's keeper?
• notes completion on Noah and the Flood and the Tower of Babel (textbook pp. 35-37 plus related readings in the Bible)
• homework: complete the review questions on page 37 of the textbook

SS

• you worked on news items: reading, comprehension, and analysis

Oct. 12

SS

• We switched from EN in B block to SS in B block so that we can use the library for our research project.  I handed out the notes booklet, and you got started on your research.  We will have two more days in the library for research/work on the project.  This will happen next Tuesday and Thursday.

Coming up:

• Monday: Day 2 - CE and English (Have your homework completed for these classes.)
• Tuesday: Day 1 (with HR) - SS research in the library
• Wednesday: Day 2 late start CE and English
• Thursday: Day 1 (with HR) - SS research in the library (last day), SCHOOL DANCE in the evening
• Friday: Day 2 late start - CE and English PLUS hand in notes for marking
