• We discussed the criteria for the poetry readings that will start next English class.

Criteria:

• Shorter poems should be memorized. (12 lines or less)
• Volume: loud, varied as appropriate
• Eye Contact: scan the room
• Pronunciation: pronounce all words correctly/enunciate words

• We reviewed our Judges summaries and looked at Deborah.
• We looked at the cycle of sin with regard to Israelites and the Judges and reflected on how that applies to us.

• We had about 25 minutes because of the presentation going longer than anticipated, so we spent most of the class reading.  We also checked our responses to the Poetry Terms worksheet.

We worked on Chapter 13 China notes today. Please complete the package for homework if you didn't complete it in class.

• We worked on our Joshua notes then looked over the comic version of Joshua and Caleb and Joshua at Jericho.
• Homework: Complete the Judges chart with summaries of the six judges listed. Use your textbook and the Bible.

EN

• We finished our analysis of "Summer of '69."
• We went over the poetry terms we need to know.
• We read/listened to "Over the Rainbow" and worked on an analysis of it.

• We had our Renaissance test today then spent our time reading.
• Tomorrow, we will split D block so we are sharing CE and English because we will be in the library for B block (presentation).
